New Hurtado DTX

Howdy BBQ Lovers,

There’s a new BBQ sheriff in Dallas, and his name is Chef Brandon Hurtado. He’s el jefe at Hurtado, and whether you want to enjoy some fresh and delicious authentic TEX-MEX BBQ or spice up your backyard BBQ experience, el jefe has got you covered.

Brandon and his wife Hannah have been slang’n BBQ since 2018, when they began at Division Brewing in Arlington, Texas. Since then, their passion and dedication to serving delicious BBQ and creative eats have grown rapidly. Operating four locations and slang’n Q at Globe Life Field home of the Texas Rangers they dropped the hammer and never looked back!

Chef Stefon’s Fried Smoked Quail & Grits. So delicious!

As they’ve expanded their BBQ empire and operations, they’ve continued to elevate their menus and overall dining experiences. They simply offer something every BBQ lover craves—what I like to call H.D. HURTADO DELICIOUSNESS!

They recently hired a creative and talented Culinary Director, Top MOHAWK Chef Stefon Rishel. He has years of experience creating beautiful, curated culinary masterpieces loaded with deliciousness. Some of his dishes are so vibrant and beautiful that they resemble artwork more than food. But once you take your first bite, you can’t stop eating them. They are genuinely unforgettable because they’re loaded with deliciousness. That’s why is a perfect match to team up with HURTADO because it only intensifies the H.D. experience.

They just opened a new 4th location and their most prominent Hurtado BBQ. It’s located at the world-famous Dallas Farmers Market and is a stunning property. They created the new location, covering every detail to perfection. The space resembles an art gallery more than a BBQ joint, but knowing the Hurtado Team, they wouldn’t have it any other way.

The menu is loaded with a variety of flavorful and meaty eats, along with Chef Stefon’s creative (LTO’s) limited-time offerings. Stefon’s delicious dishes change weekly. This is fantastic because you can visit weekly and try something fresh, creative, and delicious.

I love the new location because you can enjoy some H.D. HURTADO DELICIOUSNESS. After your meal, you can head across the parking lot and shop at the Famers Market. They offer a wide variety of anything and everything you could want.

If you love Tex-Mex BBQ, creative and delicious eats, sweet desserts, and fantastic Hurtado family service, then head over and chow down. They are a NEW Trey’s Chow Down favorite and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

If you enjoy cooking at home and want to elevate your backyard experience, I highly recommend El Jefe’s new cookbook, BARBACOA. It has ideas for SMOKED MEATS, TACOS, TAMALES, and ENCHILADAS, as well as creative sides, appetizers, and desserts.
