Inspired by the lifestyle of the Rocky Mountains, where founder Chris Simms spent much of his childhood, Lazy Dog offers the perfect environment for a quick weeknight dinner, a meandering meal with old friends or a big night out. The first Lazy Dog restaurant opened in the Huntington Beach area in 2003 and showcased an eclectic menu of memorable family favorites reinterpreted with bold new flavors and served with small-town hospitality. Lazy Dog’s 8,445 square-foot interior is designed to feel like a Rocky Mountain Wyoming escape, featuring grand lodge-inspired furnishings such as cozy fireplaces, ledge stone and a chandelier crafted from Aspen logs. Additionally, a 2,313 square-foot dog-friendly patio offers a dog menu, featuring grilled meats and brown rice. Executive Chef Gabriel (Gabe) Caliendo elevates classic all-American dishes, blending nostalgia with nuance, while also introducing diners to new flavors and seasonal ingredients. Lazy Dog opened its second Texas location in Plano last fall, as well as its third location in Euless early this year.
