When we made our reservation at the new La Stella Steakhouse and Lounge in Addison, Texas, we were filled with curiosity and anticipation. As always, we did our homework—scouring photos, Google reviews, and social media posts—yet nothing could have truly prepared us for what awaited. Upon our arrival, the exterior was unassuming, blending in with the surrounding business park. But don’t be fooled—what lies beyond those doors is nothing short of enchanting.
La Stella, which translates to “The Star,” is a heartfelt homage to the vibrant culture of Texas, where the Piccinini family established their roots after migrating from Naples in 1989 in pursuit of the American Dream. Their flagship location in Addison is a breathtaking fusion of Italian heritage and the timeless allure epitomized by the legendary Italian cinema icon, Sophia Loren. This enchanting dining destination captures the lively spirit of North Dallas, offering an unforgettable experience that goes beyond mere meals.

I’ve been in the restaurant business my whole life, owning, operating, and managing establishments. My family has been involved in this industry for over 120 years, to be exact. All of that experience led me to start reviewing restaurants about twenty years ago. When I say that the La Stella experience is one of the best in North Texas, I truly mean it. It was an incredible four hours filled with wonderful service, delicious chef-driven dishes, tasty craft cocktails, and beautifully curated music in the lounge. We truly didn’t want to leave. I am in love with, and deeply admire, the La Stella experience.
