A few weeks ago I received a message…
“Trey, we’re having the grand opening for the NEW Crab House Seafood and Oyster Bar on Maple in Dallas, can you make it?”
Anyone that knows me will understand I very rarely turn down food. It’s not only my job to report on food, but it’s also my life long passion. I’m passionate about locating the very BEST food and drink, the chefs that prepare it, and the restaurants that host it.
So off we went hammer down!
We attended this fabulous event and I was thirty minutes early like I always am.
When we walked in right off the bat I loved the contemporary wide open space and the available dining on the second floor which looks down on the dining room below.
They also have a fantastic cocktail bar area that is wide open so you can see outside and view the entire dining room.
I’m a big proponent of wide open clean spaces. The perception of wide open spaces seems bigger more inviting and it lends a more vibrant atmosphere.
After we toured the inside I heard, “Trey, you have to see the pool outback! I knew I hadn’t drank any whiskey or craft cocktails yet but when he said pool out back my ears perked up. Pool? Do tell, oh do tell!
When he opened that door and I saw that amazing patio with the colors and the contemporary furniture my eyes POPPED! THEN I saw the beautiful pool with private cabanas. I was like, tell you what… Just bring my food out back and throw in some champagne, lol! Not really, but I sure thought it. Who doesn’t want to have some incredibly fresh seafood from a chef-driven menu overlooking a pool and the beautiful buildings in Uptown Dallas!
When I sat down I started reading the information about the Crab House.
Dallas’s new fusion of flavors. A chef-driven concept by Chef Pat Tran and the Crab House Team. They’ve beautifully blended the flavors of classic cajun with inspiring Asian tastes.
Seafood like you’ve never seen before!
Bam! That’s all I needed to know where do I start I’m hungry guys.
Start we did we tried all kinds of great food took some amazing photos and tried some fresh creative cocktails.
I loved the catfish! It was fresh and prepared with a light batter and had a slight crunch. It was ” stupid delicious.”
They have all kinds of Cajun Asian inspired dishes like; “Crawfish JULIE”, “Chicken Fried Rice”, “Fried Catfish Bites”, “Seasalt Gumbo”, “Fried Combo basket”, and so much more. I was in love with everything I tried.
The craft cocktails are a must too when you visit.
The NEW Crab House is a must-visit that offers some fantastic Chef-driven cuisine. The flavor profiles are unique and the dishes colorful. Everything I tried was on point and loaded with flavors.
The Crab House Seafood and Oyster Bar is a Trey’s Chow Down Delicious Destination not to be missed in 2020. Everything was wicked delicious and will leave you wanting more.
It’s Chow Down time folks! See you at a table, or maybe a bar.
