Chef Hunter masterfully expresses narratives through his cuisine and the vibrant atmosphere he creates. From the moment I walked into Elvie’s in Jackson and read about his cherished childhood visits to his grandmother May Elvieretta’s home in New Orleans, I was captivated. His vivid descriptions of the aromas, the layout of her cozy house, and the heart of her kitchen resonated deeply. After experiencing his creations, I’ve been devoted ever since.
