Forsure “Sum Dang Good Chinese” In Dallas!

If you follow me on social media, or you’re one of the millions of foodies we reach each year then you’re aware I’m always on the hunt for the next new and creative concept. In the last three months of the pandemic crisis, it’s made it impossible for new restaurants to open. We’ve had a large number of them close, and sadly, more will follow.

When I got an email about a new restaurant opening its doors during the COVID-19 crisis my immediate thought response was, NO WAY... This has to be wrong? A new restaurant with an opening date?

Nope, I stand corrected!

When I found out it was a Phil Romano concept I was truly excited that a restaurant wanted to open and share a new concept with North Texans during a crisis.

Phil Romano is passionate about the restaurant business. If he decides to open a new concept, then you better believe it’s going to be fun and exciting.

It was opening in one of my favorite destination spots in North Texas for dining, drinking, socializing, and sweet treats. Yep, Trinity Groves in Dallas, Texas!

If you haven’t visited Trinity Groves yet it’s full of fantastic restaurants slinging savory and delicious eats. They also have some sweet shops and incredible outdoor areas so you can enjoy the fresh Texas air. It’s truly a wonderful dining destination that has something for everyone. Trinity Groves has a new colorful and creative fresh Chinese restaurant concept that goes by the name of “Sum Dang Good Chinese”.

When I saw that name, I laughed. I thought to myself what a vibrant and exciting new name for a restaurant. The name is catchy! The atmosphere is picturesque and vibrant! The menu consists only of hand prepared authentic fresh Chinese dishes with a modern flare.

Fresh Spicy Crispy Beef

When I say fresh, I REALLY mean fresh. They have not one, or two, but seven, yes I said SEVEN, Chinese chefs slinging creative deliciousness in the kitchen. These chefs are passionate about Chinese heritage and what it represents with each dish. That’s not all they have! Out front, there is a fresh dumpling and noddle bar with three ladies preparing and creating fresh noodles and dumplings for every order.

Let me be very clear about this; FRESH made-to-order noodles and dumplings every day, all day that complement the fresh modern Chinese dishes coming out of the kitchen. Everything is prepared fresh using only wholesome locally sourced ingredients to create big, bold, savory, and delicious flavors with a modern flare.

You can enjoy Hand-Pulled Noodles, Steamed and Fried Dumplings, Mongolian Beef, Spicy Sichuan Wontons, Pork Pan Fried Buns, and Kung Pao Chicken. I FELL in love with the crispy spicy beef and the famous soup (XIO Long Bao Dumplings). Those dumplings are what naughty food dreams are made of.
